We're doing Awana!

Tonight was the first time to try the kids in Awana. I stuck around in case Miranda bolted and wanted out of there but soon saw that there's no kid in the world who wouldn't have loved this evening! She had a blast! When she was saying her bedtime prayers, she thanked the Lord for letting her go to Awana tonight! Without prompting.

Megan loved it, too. She's in a group with a girlfriend she knows from when she visits church with me. Next week is crazy hair day and she & Miranda are already planning how they want to wear their hair. Megan will keep on memorizing Bible verses and Miranda's first memory verse is John 3:16. I think Megan's hoping there will be some she's already learned. That's Gram's favorite secret for success, too...she's a chip off the old block!
