Pollyanna

So I checked out the movie Pollyanna from the church library. Nice movie for the girls and one they'll probably like, right? There was never enough time during the week to watch it but last night we had time. Here's how the day went:

I took Megan and the neighbor girl to Nick's game. It's so uplifting to watch him play and I never get enough time with him these days. Unusual for this late in Sept, the sky was beautiful and it was HOT! After two hours in that sun, I felt like I was going to have heat stroke and I hadn't brought any water for me or the girls. We ended up leaving before the game ended, heading out to get something to drink.

That evening, we met up again at Chris' for dinner and Meg asked if she could come to church with me. How does a good gramma say no to that??? So she ended up spending the night. I put Pollyanna in the VCR player and Meg in bed, intending to go do some computer work. I hit "Play" and watched the first scene to make sure it was working okay. Well, that was enough to hook me so I decided to bag the computer and crawled into bed and watched it with her. But two hours later, she was long-ago asleep and I was still enthralled.

Hope the sermon this morning is rousing...I am a little tired!
