Labor Day Parade

Well, our Labor Day tradition continues. Today we took Meg's friend (my neighbor) Ellie to the parade, met up with our good friends and had a ton of fun. The girls just loved gathering up candy tossed by the entrants in the parade. There were big trucks and fire trucks and old cars and tractors and floats and gymnastics teams and politicians, including Dino Rossi!

We got to hang out with our friends, eat Mexican food and pay ridiculous booth prices for junk fair food, do some crafts, and play on the play ground.

Just like all kids, the most fun seemed to be comparing their candy loot and making trades. Poor kids don't have much left after Gramma takes out all the hard candy, then all the bubble gum (y'all know I hate that), and all my favorites. I'm kidding...my favorites weren't in there this time. :-)

And tomorrow, bright and early: SCHOOL BUS TIME!!!
