Memory Test

My friend and I were discussing our apparently-failing memories and what a pain in the patootie that is. For years, I've walked upstairs and can't remember what I was getting by the time I get there. But this poor memory thing is now requiring notes and then I forget where I put the notes.

Someone will ask, "Have I told you about such-and-such a thing?" I'll say no, but then when they are half-way through the story, it starts ringing a bell that I HAVE heard it before.
