Reading

It's been since high school that I've read as much as I have this past year. The latest has been an audio book Jill got me, called "Epicenter", by Joel Rosenberg. It is way beyond me, yet I have been totally captivated since the first CD. It compares Biblical prophecies and what has actually happened in recent history.

You know how it feels after seeing a mesmerizing, really excellent movie or reading a stunning, enthralling book? You're kind of outta breath as the credits roll? Well, that's how I feel now...kinda shaken...wishing it wasn't over and trying to decide if I will listen to it again. Actually, there are so many facts and so much data, I know I would benefit by doing just that.

I've also been reading a whole series of fiction based in Amish Pennsylvania. Those have been easy reading and captivating in their own way, too. The same thing has happened...I'm finished and wishing there were more books in the series. Actually, I think there are three more I haven't read yet.

Side note: For anyone with a 4 year old...5 is the best age in the world for a kid. You are in for more fun and laughter than you ever dreamed. They are old enough to know what's happening, but young enough to be totally innocent. If you are blessed to have one with a sense of humor, you are in for a real treat. Miranda is just killin' me lately...keeping me swooning in stitches most of the time! Every kid I've dealt with has been terrific at 5, but this one is knocking my socks off.
