Meeting the teachers

Miranda trying out her chair. Megan selecting her desk.

Monkeys trying out the playground.
At home, comparing pedicures.

It was a lot of fun to see the classrooms and meet their teachers. Miranda's teacher lives at the end of the lake, about 6 houses down. I've seen her walking around the lake this summer. The school is new, nice, and very functional along with having one of the highest ratings in the state. I am pleased. Kindergarten teachers must be saints. I couldn't never handle 20 little kids. Or even 20 kittens, for that matter.

Megan was happy with her classroom and her desk, although she had to take one that was beside another one without a name...she's hoping a girl picks the empty one. Her teacher seems wonderful; we hear she is reputed to be one of the nicest ones in the school. That will help. This is going to be a much different experience than what we are used to, going from a private Christian school to a public school. Starting with homework...Megan never had much before this and I know there is lots here. I suspect Gramma might get some math refreshement.

Every now and then I'll look over at what Miranda's doing and will see something amazing that she's drawn. Below is today's frog. I think for just turning 5, she's pretty artistic. Notice she did it by first doing dots, then connecting them. I did the green cause she got "bored" with it. I think it's a framer.

PS. This has nothing to do with the above frog...but...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, to our beautiful Christina! I love you!
