I follow her blog daily because it helps me get to know their family better, since we live so far apart, and feel closer to them all. I love learning the things she writes about. And it helps us keep in touch over the miles.
Here's what ya do, should you choose to participate:
1. Name 5 things you love.
2. Pass the award on to 5 blogs you love.
3. Link back to your favorite blogs, and tell how fabulous they are. I don't understand all this...I'm old and dense.
Okay, 5 things I love:
1) Seeing the kids off on the bus and being there for them when they return home. It warms my heart to participate in this little bit of Americana and doing something they will remember forever. I love being an active part of their childhoods, our talks about life and faith, and going to baseball games, watching movies, etc.
2) Exchanging emails with my very best email friend in WI. We understand each other. She's mentally the closest thing I have to Warren now, except I don't have to pick up her socks.
3) My church. I love that church and how well-fed we all get there. I don't know everyone by name or even face, and they don't all know me, but because of the type of people who attend there, I am convinced I could call any name in our phone book at any time of day or night and the help I needed would be here.
4) Kansas. Call me crazy. It's a great place to grow up, live, visit, and be from. Folks I love live there, it's beautiful, it's flat, and it's laid-back and sunny a lot of the time.
5) My memories. I have been blessed with a comfortable, happy life and am grateful for it and appreciate all those who contributed towards it.
My favorite blogs are listed at the right. I simply can't narrow it down to just five. Christina, Melissa, Rusts, Kaatz, and JJ's I check every day, because I love these families. If we didn't have blogs to keep in touch with each other, we'd be on the phone all day long, and none of us has time to do that! The other blogs are mostly craft sites because they are really beautiful and fun.
