Yesterday was "Pile On Gramma" day

As I was in the middle of interacting with and caring for Miranda, gathering tax papers and making 56 valentine cards, I had a moment of insanity and thought, "I could put some laundry into the washing machine while I'm doing this." I really should know better. I KNOW my memory cannot handle four activities simultaneously. Turns out, it wasn't "insanity" at all...it was a blessing from above.

When I carried the basket into the laundry room, this is what I saw:

Now, this house has settled a lot...I'm sure it was built on a sink hole...but things aren't THIS bad. So I took a closer look. The 7' cabinet was FALLING OFF THE WALL! I took a closer look and the cheapo backing was actually splitting in half and tearing away from the wall. I have to admit I panicked and dialed my 911 connections (family men) cause I knew I couldn't lift that thing and handle this alone. Then I started removing all the contents:

Well, God rescues me 100% of the time. Not only did this "crisis" force me to get the contact number for a great handyman, I didn't need to use him this time. Here's how God works: I put the crisis, the taxes, the laundry, and the valentines on "hold" while I escorted Miranda to the bus stop. As we waited, my friend came by on her daily walk. She asked, "How's it going?" so I told her! (She'll learn...)

After awhile, my phone rang. It was my friend, saying she'd told her husband and he was on his way over. Within 30 minutes, he had that cabinet not only off my wall but on the way to the dump!

I am humbled and so appreciative of all the blessings I keep receiving, most of which are my wonderful family, friends, and neighbors.

Yay! I love how God meets our needs. And I especially love that you recognize Him in all of the "little" things of life. You are a huge encouragment to me.

It's real easy. Somebody I love once told me there is no such thing as "luck", either good or bad. There also is no such thing as "coincidence". You "can't tell a good break from a bad one at the time it happens", because it's all part of God's plan and we won't know what that is for awhile yet.
