Lunch

After church today, Scott and Teresa took me out to eat at the Cheesecake Factory. They've been telling me that everything on the menu was good and I'm pretty sure, from what I saw and tasted, that they are right. I had the maple-bourbon pork tenderloin medallions...yummo! Scott had the chicken Madeira and I tasted that. Next time, that's what I order.

We were too stuffed for dessert, but that didn't stop us...we ordered it "to go" and I had my dessert for supper. I know, I know...don't say it. Well, are you curious what it was? Dulche le Leche Caramel Cheesecake. I can't resist anything Dulche le Leche. I fear I would try Dulche le leche brussel sprouts or beets, if they came that way.

I had to look up this new term!

from Wikipedia....

Dulce de leche in Spanish or doce de leite in Portuguese ("milk candy"), is a milk-based syrup. Found as both a sauce and a caramel-like candy, it is popular across Latin America. It is prepared by slowly heating sweetened milk to create a product similar in taste to caramel.
