Birthday season

Summer is birthday season in our family. Birthdays abound in July and August. The last week was Megan and Ward's birthdays. I took Megan and her best friend to Monkey Dooz for a spa afternoon and I'm pretty sure I enjoyed watching as much as they enjoyed being pampered with pedicures, manicures, and fancy hairdos. And you can see how much Miranda enjoyed it...not.

The next day was the family party at Megan's house. Poor Miranda missed the pinata and was a bit embarrassed. Nick tried to console her, but she was having none of it. Then it was Nick's turn and he hit it clear off the string holding it up. At the end of the day, they all got plenty of candy, including goop that made gross noises and stuff that was so sour, it was guaranteed to make ya gag. Meg loves sour stuff!

This is pretty-much what's been going on this summer. Constant kid activities and fun stuff. Gramma is tired tonight.

For those who actually read this, I'm sorry it's been awhile since I posted. Gramma is tired every night, it seems. This week I have a day off, but it is because I got a subpoena to go testify. Yuk. It's been so long, I probably have forgotten one critical detail and that will get the creep off the hook. That's probably what lawyers count on.
