Kid fun

This kid-sitting sure has its ups and downs, blessings and trials. This is the first week of camping for Meg. She's had a great time doing new things and having new experiences, archery, swimming and canoeing. Both girls rode horses this week. Collecting bugs, going to storytime at the library, baseball tournaments...all the "funnest" things for a kid!

We had a bit of sadness, however...the three caterpillars that Megan found "passed on", we're not sure why. I went out and found this in the backyard:

Miranda is still at her best when she's had a nap in the afternoons. She's really quite a big girl now, so I bargained with her: You are going to take a nap, but you may choose your own place to do it. So here's her choice:
