I'm feeling a lot of pressure from my family to purchase a new HD flat screen TV, but I have emotional attachment to my TV. Twenty-four years ago, I told Warren we needed a new TV and he didn't think so. He finally got tired of my bugging about it and told me, "Fine. Go get one." Bluffing. He never thought I'd do it without him. But I did. And this is what I chose.
Now that my son in-law got the cable working again, I have a picture and can get any channel I want. I can live with the fact that it won't turn off or the volume won't turn up or down.
What's wrong with this thing? I think it's a beautiful set! I like Spongebob, too.

...you can always just 'unplug' the TV if you want it to turn off.
....or, you could just buy a new one.
Gram - buy the dang TV already! The technology has changed dramatically, like, 4 times since you bought this one.
....or, you could keep it and change your home decor theme to "antique" motif. You could get one of those old fashioned rotary phones, and an Atari PONG game, and a radio with dials, and....
Plus, you know Spongebob is supposed to be green, don't you??
This whole thing is totally amusing and fun! I can't wait to see what happens next. :)
