We had a very low-key weekend and Memorial Day here. I finally have to admit that I MUST buy a new TV. The one I got 24 years ago is giving me too much trouble. It has been turning itself off and on for awhile now. That was really disturbing in the middle of the night, by the way.
But NOW it won't turn off...neither by the remote nor by hand. And the volume will not budge. At least it's stuck on low, not blaring. Wait...maybe I can just get it repaired and really irritate my kids!
Those kids came over and helped me by doing some heavy chores. Thank you God for wonderful daughters with good hearts and who care about me.
Megan has been swimming...a lot...even though the lake can't be very warm this early in the season. She is having lots of fun with her girlfriend next door. Another "thank You" I have is that I've been blessed with fantastic neighbors, who are so helpful and are providing wonderful memories for my grandkids.
God planned my whole life for me; there "just happen" to be two kids who live next door, in a great family who love and care about all the kids, and theirs "just happen" to be the same ages as my grandkids. They even have a teenage sister who helps keep an eye on them. I couldn't have asked for a better living situation under these circumstances. I have many blessings to count even though I'm still bawling a lot.

24 year old TV?
it's time!
Hmmm! I think I will just get it repaired. I like this one. It just has a few personality quirks like the rest of us senior citizens. :-)
Gram, that TV is older than I am!
