Last night we had a really fun time. Several of the kids who were good friends together in Chris' elementary school had a mini-reunion get-together at Chris'. One of the girls was in town from out of state, so this was a perfect time for it. They invited me and their Camp Fire Girls leader, Rose. We brought old photos and Rose brought Camp Fire pictures and memorabelia. It was really wild to see that some of the alumni were grandmas (making me and Rose feel really old), and they were all grown-ups with careers and teenagers and stuff like that! How could this have happened so quickly? Anyway, today we've all just been grinning, reliving the evening in our memories and laughing at some of the silly recollections and stories.
Today after church I went to Mom's and played in the mud. Actually, it was planting some flowers, hopefully to make their back yard a little more pretty...it's kinda plain now. The white lilac I planted last year for sentimental reasons is almost blooming and now I've completed the clematis collection over there. I loved my white lilac Gramma Bird gave me 45 years ago and I had to leave it at the other house when we moved here. I planted a purple one here and the white one at Mom's, can't remember why I chose to do it that way.
