Yesterday was a beautiful day for Laurece's neighborhood garage sale. The temperature was in the 80's I think, and the Tiki Hut was going full steam! We had sodas and water, candy and chips and hot dog meals, and home-baked cookies. Not sure how profitable it was, but it was soooo much fun! Jared, Nathan, and Megan worked the stand while Jonathan and Emily worked behind the scenes, resupplying as we ran out of dogs and cookies. Everyone worked hard to make some bucks! It was so much fun! Megan decided she liked that make-a-profit idea!
I had one catastrophe...
Gramma the Klutz tripped over an extension cord (we had Carribean music, of course!) and skinned both knees but nothing broken and no worse for wear...and one lesson learned. I was very conscientious about putting sun screen on the kids but forgot about myself and now I have learned yet another lesson: Sun fries the backs of knees! I got it on my face, too, so next time when you see me, I'll look like I'm 92 or something.
