So here we are yesterday at the granite store. The plumbing store was even more overwhelming than this. What an adventure this has become! And documenting this here has been one of the most difficult things of all. The font thing is not working right and making me crazy, so what you see is what you get.

Big doings
As you know, after many years of trying to talk me into fresh paint, Laurece finally convinced me to let her start. I agreed to doing the TV room.
Below is the field color I chose. You can see the difference.
We couldn't put back those awful outdated lights, so here comes the first real domino.
Our first choice was too yellow, but it didn't go to waste. She painted the laundry room with that. That room got a new light, too. Then in the little hallway, she showed me her specialty...murals.
And of course, because they are really the same room, the kitchen had to be done, also.
But here's where the real excitement began. I turned my back and she started in on the living room trim. Let's perk up these window frames, as long as we have white paint left. Well, the walls looked awful, so here comes another gallon of field color. But...OH NO...the ceilings looked gray and dirty after all these years. That'll never do! We'll just rent some scaffolding!
Ewww, those big triangles need some special attention. How about some stencil?
The family had a blast with the scaffolding. Jill and Megan are taunting Nick.
The windows are so pretty and the room is turning out so well, I just can't put back the same old cruddy lights, so there are new ones coming. And the windows fairly scream for shutters. Huge domino there! And now, back to the kitchen. You know you hate the tile and grout. Granite is the only way to go. But you can't put expensive new granite on old cabinets. And of course you can't put old sinks and faucets into new granite. The bathroom has cranberry-colored tile. As long as you're doing granite, that can be done with scraps! But you do need a new sink, faucet, and potty.
So here we are yesterday at the granite store. The plumbing store was even more overwhelming than this. What an adventure this has become! And documenting this here has been one of the most difficult things of all. The font thing is not working right and making me crazy, so what you see is what you get.
