Lake season has begun!

Megan and the neighbor girl actually swam in the lake today! It was warm enough air temperature but the lake was COLD! No stopping them, though. Whew! This winter has been long and awful...we all are more than ready for this.

I love days like this except there is just too much to do...can't get it all in. I missed church and used the nice weather to get annuals for me and Jill both and planted pots at both houses. That took literally all day long. But it was so nice. The kids were playing in the yard and the sound of their laughing and yelling to each other was heart-warming. The red-winged blackbirds are back, nesting in the cattails, but I haven't seen any blue jays so far. Just as well...they are obnoxious. Their papa loved days like this and would say, "God has blessed us with living in a park, Honey."
