Purell time

Well, just as things are going along swimmingly, Miranda gets a cough. A big cough. Every 10 seconds, barking her lungs out. She hasn't had a fever, so I sent her to school earlier this week, but today she was just too sick sounding. Sure enough, halfway through the morning, a fever came on. My painter suggested a little sneaky way to trick Little Ralphie to actually get some medicine in her and it worked! Sure enough, she began to feel better. When she started to get warm again, I tried it with some Tylenol and it worked again! So now she thinks she's going back to school tomorrow, but I doubt that will happen.

Of course we have heard of the latest flu epidemic. I've already talked to two nurses about it and they gave me some guidelines to watch for. So far it looks good...like this isn't Swine flu type. It seems like just a normal cold. She responded quickly after absorbing the Tylenol. Thank You, God! Her mom and dad both have it and Megan now has a sore throat. I'll not be overlooked, I'm sure. Well, I needed something else to add to my repertoire. My life isn't overwhelming enough.

Today I got my birthday present installed...a new screen door from the kids and Laurece and Carle! Nobody's ever had as good friends as these guys. They are practically remodeling my whole house. I am humbled beyond explanation. My favorite thing in the whole world is practical gifts...things I love and need but can't or won't get for myself. Thank you so much, everybody! It is absolutely beautiful and I love it and you all!
