For those of you who don't already know, yesterday I went to a doctor appointment and when I pulled into my driveway upon return, there was a strange car sitting there with its passenger door open. I went to look at my front door to see who it was, expecting to see somebody ringing my doorbell. Nobody was there, but the door was ajar. I started to open it further, heard voices inside, saw a young Hispanic male, and noticed the door frame was splintered.
I beat feet back to my car, backed out of the driveway, and stopped on the shoulder to call 911. The perps came out, saw me, one jumped into his car and took off...the others took off running. The getaway driver soon came zooming past me while I was telling 911 his license plate number. I told her there is only one road out of here...if you hurry, you can nab him. Pretty soon, a cop showed up and told me they had all three in custody.
He took me in his patrol car to go ID them and see if anything in their car was mine. I couldn't ID anything in the car, but they found my WORTHLESS pesos and some blank checks on them. They only got one thing of value of mine, and with God on my side like always, I'll get that back as soon as the cops release it.
I give God the glory for keeping me safe, having them be interrupted before they could get much, and then for the officers catching them. My insurance guy is coming tonight with a contractor friend who is going to help me get the front door frame fixed. Ward secured it last night and I slept over at Jill's.
Praise God for watching out for me once again.

Ben read the report last night. They all confessed and were serial burglarers... (The last house they hit was also a woman named Carol too) They did also search the car already so hopefully you'll get your stuff soon :o)
OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH! I am so glad you are ok. How scary!
Oh my goodness! That is so scary! I'm so glad to hear that you're alright, and that they caught those jerks.
