Haircut

I got my hair cut today with a little "California" flair...a little layered and straight at the bottom. Oddly enough, I really liked it and just hope I can do it like my hairdresser did. (Usually I hate my hair until I get a chance to do it myself.) She used a straightener on it again...I have a feeling I'm going to have to spend the money and buy one. They are not cheap!

Also met with my Tues/Thurs friends (if I'm free, I meet with them on either of those days, whenever I can, to have Starbucks and visit). It's always a wonderful time; I love them so much. They are "real" folks who keep me grounded in my faith. They are the friends I can call at 3:00 a.m. if I wake up in the depths of despair. Fortunately (for all of us), that hasn't happened, but I know they are there for me if it ever does.

I'm missing Warren an unusual amount today...don't know what prompted it. Doesn't take anything specific, I guess. No matter how well I'm doing, I'm constantly on the verge of bawling. Perhaps that will never end. I miss being able to tell him funny or interesting things. He and I had the same sarcastic, bizarre sense of humor. I could say the most crazy, radical things and he'd just respond, "That's why I love you." I still can't believe he's not coming back. I don't think anybody else loves me because of my being a radical redneck, but he did. Well, he's the one who taught me everything I know.

He also told me I was a bad driver, and I'm beginning to think he was right. The guy in the Lexus that I rear-ended thinks he was right...

Well, I'm glad you do. You guys are precious! That's what kept Papa and me together all those years. We had competitions as to who was more redneck and I frequently won.

He had his "Little House on the Prairie" soft side. Not me. You should hear some of the solutions we came up with for loud boom boom car stereos. I think he won that one.
