Saturday a.m.

Gram's rummy. Had girls fighting over who gets to sleep next to Gramma so I ended up in the middle. I like the ditch I sleep in and don't like the mountain in the middle of the mattress. So after they are sound asleep, I crawl over Miranda, pick her up and put her in the middle, allowing me to reclaim my nice, comfy nest. She never knows the difference.

Last night we went to Chris' to meet Nick's cousin, Devon, who is visiting from Texas. He's a nice boy, lots of fun, and polite. We were all impressed and beginning to fall in love. Chris needs another 11 year old boy around to keep her busy. I have a feeling we may be seeing more of Devon in the future.

Chris is so good with the kids. She drilled Megan with multiplication flash cards and had Miranda reading and writing some words in just a few minutes! Miranda is ready to read...she is getting frustrated at not being able to do it.
