A few weeks ago, I put up a poll asking who liked those curly light bulbs. At least one or two guests voted that they liked them.
Would whomever that was please tell me how do I dispose of the burned-out ones? I know ya can't put them in the garbage because they have mercury in them. How can something that has mercury in it be good?
I have two of these genius things cluttering up my garage, waiting to be disposed of, but I don't know how the green police want me to do it. Grrrrr. They are about to go into the trash can.

We use them, but aren't 'green' enough to know how to dispose of them (We haven't needed to yet)
Doesn't Chris know???
:o)
Neither Ward nor I know.
Sorry!
I just googled "disposing of curly lightbulbs" and found this info:
"you have to dispose of them in a hazardous waste facility. If one breaks you have to leave the room for 15 minutes so you don't breathe in the vapor. Then dispose of it and anything you used to pick it up with in a plastic bag and take THAT to the hazardous waste dump. You then have to clean everything in the room, or throw it away."
OMG - We have many in our house. I am removing them ASAP.
They are junk. They don't turn on when you flip the switch. My bill is just as high. They burn out just as fast as the regular kind. But when they do, you have to go through all THAT?????????? Nevermind. I tried.
