Spring Cleaning

If "Cleanliness is next to Godliness", my daughter wears angel wings. (Well, she does anyway.) Periodically she will order up a dumpster and do Spring cleaning. Guess what...it's Spring! So now there's a huge green monster sitting at her house and so that means, "Let's get busy!" I'm off to tackle the garage first.

I'm too old, too busy and too lazy to attempt a garage sale, which was my intended plan, so this is my next-best option. Don't worry, I'm too much of a pack rat to let anything of any use or importance go. This will truly be stuff worthy of the big train ride to Oregon.

On another note: American Idol. I am liking the new format and the talent so far this year. I like Kara. There are several who seem quite talented and have beautiful singing voices, yet just aren't memorable, in my opinion.

Unfortunately, they put that hideous Tatiana through. My word, you should have heard the groaning at my house! You watch...they will milk that egomanic media-tramp like crazy, to make money. They always have to have someone the viewers will love to hate, and this is definitely the one this year. It's the "soap opera" technique to keep the audience interested.

We almost were cursed with having to watch that lunatic Nathanial, but he's outta there. I think I would have prefered him over that hideous Tatiana, but that's probably why he's gone...he didn't inspire quite enough hatred and might have even gotten some sympathy votes.

And there are a few whom I just love:

I love Scott's personality and think he is extremely talented, but wonder if people will vote for him because he's blind. I wish people wouldn't vote for the most pitiful story or "vote for the worst", either. Nothing is real these days...everything is media-shaped and emotion-twisted. I don't think Scott will win the whole thing.

Another favorite for me is Adam Lambert. Seems like every season, I really like the rocker. (Chris Daughtry for instance.)

I liked Ju'not Joyner, but he's outta there. Then there is Meghan. I can't remember her last name...love her but she's not memorable enough to win. See what I mean?

I like Gorge & the way he lapses into Spanish when he's emotional. And I like Anoop, too. I believe they will all go far into the competition, but the one I believe will win is Lil Rounds. Mainly because the judges want her to win. I think the whole show is fixed.
