Birthday party

We had a family get-together for Nick's 12th birthday. He's such a good boy! He's almost as tall as me now and wears lots bigger shoes. He was very huggy and grateful for his gifts. He wanted Gramma's chocolate malts instead of cake so of course I provided that!

My other grandson is now a Marine Sgt. (I abbreviate because I don't know how to spell it.) You know how much Gram loves that! And now he and Christina are giving us a baby! She's actually showing so it's getting really believable now! My heart just absolutely melts for these grandkids! I hope none of them asks for a new Mercedes cause I don't think I can afford that.

Below is my favorite young, expectant couple in an unguarded moment. The pantry in the background is not my doing...I never trained my daughter to be that tidy and organized! :-) (Although I wish I could take credit.)

My other "step-family" was there, too. We have soooo much fun when everybody gets together. The party doesn't really start until they arrive! They brought their little dog and we had a blast sitting around playing with him.

Oliver decided it was fun to play with the birthday balloons. He was standing on his hind legs and pouncing on them, only to scoot them across the room so he'd have to go chase them down. Sooo darn cute! They were as big as him! Gramma was afraid he'd pop one and scare him to pieces, but that didn't happen. He's just a sweet little puffball! The first pic is his mom, the next he's with Chris, trying to get to his mom. (He's a mama's boy.)
