The eggs were those fake plastic ones. We put treats inside, coins and candy. One of our teenagers, who shall remain nameless, emptied one of the eggs and inserted a slug. (For those of you in the midwest, this slimy critter is very gross.) As planned, his little brother found it and there was the much-anticipated screaming and laughing.
Of course, there always seem to be new babies. OMG, we have some adorable little ones around here. Unfortunately, I didn't get photos of everybody but here's Luke. This guy is just the sweetest little fireplug! He's so fun...does all the cutest little baby things...the giggling, the arm-waving, the singing, etc. We all get the biggest kick out of watching this sweetheart grow and learn.

Megan giving Luke a big hug! She loves her cousin. He's her 2nd cousin. He's also my great-grandchild. Go figure. How could a young gal like me have a great-grandson?
These two love each other so much. When they were little kids growing up, I never thought I'd see the day. Maybe there's hope for Megan and Miranda.

It is upstairs and can handle many kids at a time and we don't even hear them or even Darth Vader. The peace this offers seems to make worth the condition of the room afterwards. Meanwhile, as with most parties, the grownups end up in the kitchen, crowding around the food display.

Holidays are also opportunities for brothers to hassle their sisters. These two are pretty-much evenly-matched now and a hoot to watch. (Those were root beer bottles...we don't serve beer at the kids' table.)
So, it was a wonderful day and a great way to celebrate the Resurrection with family and good friends.
