Birthday weekend

Friday Chris took off work to spend the day watching "Pride and Prejudice" with me, I think more to shut me (and her other friends) up about, "you just HAVE to watch this movie!" We had wine, salads and fireplace, recliner and sofa for our sustenance and comfort. With interruptions, it took about eight hours to watch, but it's now one of her most favorite movies! It is such a wonderful story, but I can't explain it to you while that dreamy photo is looking at me. Somehow I keep getting distracted. :-)

These are gifts she brought...I LOVE chickens and this one is soooo cute!

And of course, I love flowers...look how perfect this "Welcome" basket is near my front porch.

Saturday, Jill gave me the opportunity to do my favorite thing...sitting in my bathrobe until noon, working on genealogy. My hobbies go in spurts. I get obsessive about them, and then I burn out and bail. Right now, it's genealogy, solving a family mystery. I haven't solved it yet, but am still trying, with a little help from my friends. Jill took care of dinner for us and I got to choose what to have.

Sunday was a perfectly wonderful, sunny and warm day...church and then off to one of my most favorite places...the Windmill nursery...where we had lunch on the patio and walked the grounds. She had me select the most beautiful hanging basket in the whole place for my other gift.

After we returned home, we went to Chris' for a yummy family dinner. Thanks to my zillions of friends and family on Facebook, also. My idea of another perfect birthday weekend!
