School's finally out

Today school is out for the kids and so is the sun! Nick got out yesterday. I don't remember my last day of school ever being this fun or having so much parent involvement. One kid even was picked up by a limo! From elementary school! He'll now be expecting a private jet when he graduates high school.

The kindergarten held a graduation ceremony, which was adorable. The kids performed songs and were then each presented with their little diploma. Precious! Miranda wasn't into it until Mrs. Duncan started giving out the awards...then she "got it"...you could tell exactly when she realized this was a big deal.

That was yesterday. Today the older grades were done. I sure am glad I decided to go pick her up. What a scene to remember! When the final bell rang, kids poured out of the doors and swarmed the front courtyard, whooping and hollering, clapping and running around. The moms picking them up were cheering, there were signs and balloons and bunches of flowers for the kids. The busses loaded up and when they took off, the honking and cheering began! The busses went around the drive circle a few times, honking, kids cheering, and one whole entire bus was stomping and clapping in unison. In the video below, Megan is wearing the red shirt and jeans.

So Long, Kindergarten and Fourth Grade...Have a great summer, all!
